形態特徵

• Rhizome short, loosely tufted. Culms erect, 30-50 cm tall, trigonous, smooth, rigid.
• Leaves surpassing culms, 5-10 mm wide; sheaths rather short, brownish.
• Spikes 3 or 4, spaced, erect; terminal spike staminate, linear, 3-5 cm long; lateral spikes pistillate, occasionally with several staminate flowers at apex, narrowly cylindrical, 3-6 cm long, 6-8 mm thick, densely many-flowered. Bracts sheathing, blades leafy, much shorter than inflorescence.
• Pistillate glumes linear to lanceolate, acute at apex, pale, green costa ending at apex. Utricles nearly equal to glume, divergent, ovoidal to broadly so, obtusely trigonous, 5-6 mm long, many-veined, brownish green, puberulent above; beak abruptly produced, ca. 3 mm long, orifice bi-lobed with sharp teeth. Achenes rather tightly inclosed, ovoid to fusiform, ca. 2 mm long, trigonous with angles constricted at middle, apex distinctly long beaked, expanding into a discoid annulus; style short, enlarged at base; stigmas 3, short.
